Achromatic terahertz Airy beam generation with dielectric metasurfaces
Airy beams exhibit intriguing properties such as nonspreading, self-bending, and self-healing and have attracted considerable recent interest because of their many potential applications in photonics, such as to beam focusing, light-sheet microscopy, and

Airy transform of an electron Landau state in a longitudinal constant magnetic field
In this article, a relationship between the electron beams in a longitudinal constant magnetic field and light beams in a parabolic refractive index distribution medium is revealed and demonstrated analytically.

Airy transformation of Lorentz-Gauss beams
By using the first three terms of expansion of the Lorentz function, the approximate description of an incident Lorentz-Gauss beam is analytically obtained. Moreover, this approximation is proved to be effective.

Enhancing image contrast using coherent states and photon number resolving detectors
We experimentally map the transverse profile of diffraction-limited beams using photon-number-resolving detectors. We observe strong compression of diffracted beam profiles for high detected photon number.

Gaussian and Airy wave packets of massive particles with orbital angular momentum [PDF]
While wave-packet solutions for relativistic wave equations are oftentimes thought to be approximate (paraxial), we demonstrate that there is a family of such solutions, which are exact, by employing a null-plane (light-cone) variables formalism.

High‐temperature interactions between low‐sulfur Al‐killed Mn–B steel and MgO–C refractories (0 and 50 wt% recyclates) are studied via finger immersion tests (1600 °C). Surface‐active elements influence infiltration. MgO/CaS layer forms, along with spinel and calcium silicate.

Recovery time of matter Airy beams using the path integral quantum trajectory model
Following their discovery in the late 1970s, optical Airy beams have found numerous applications in technologies such as microscopy and optical trapping, many of which are based on the wave packets’ unique features such as zero or minimal diffraction ...

Generation and near-field imaging of Airy surface plasmons
We demonstrate experimentally the generation and near-field imaging of nondiffracting surface waves - plasmonic Airy beams, propagating on the surface of a gold metal film.

Airy beam optical parametric oscillator [PDF]
AbstractAiry beam, a non-diffracting waveform, has peculiar properties of self-healing and self-acceleration. Due to such unique properties, the Airy beam finds many applications including curved plasma wave-guiding, micro-particle manipulation, optically mediated particle clearing, long distance communication and nonlinear frequency conversion ...
