Double Scaling Limits and Catastrophes of the zerodimensional O(N) Vector Sigma Model: The A-Series [PDF]
We evaluate the partition functions in the neighbourhood of catastrophes by saddle point integration and express them in terms of generalized Airy functions.Comment: 20 pages, LaTeX, two figures available from author on ...

Isgur-Wise function in a QCD potential model with coulombic potential as perturbation
We study heavy light mesons in a QCD inspired quark model with the Cornell potential$-\frac{4\alpha_{S}}{3r}+br+c$. Here we consider the linear term $br$ as the parent and $-\frac{4\alpha_{S}}{3r}+c$ i.e.the Coloumbic part as the perturbation. The linear ...

Zeros of Airy Function and Relaxation Process [PDF]
One-dimensional system of Brownian motions called Dyson's model is the particle system with long-range repulsive forces acting between any pair of particles, where the strength of force is $β/2$ times the inverse of particle distance. When $β=2$, it is realized as the Brownian motions in one dimension conditioned never to collide with each other.

Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Accuracy of transfer matrix approaches for solving the effective mass Schr\"{o}dinger equation
The accuracy of different transfer matrix approaches, widely used to solve the stationary effective mass Schr\"{o}dinger equation for arbitrary one-dimensional potentials, is investigated analytically and numerically.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

The generalized Airy diffusion equation
Solutions of a generalized Airy diffusion equation and an associated nonlinear partial differential equation are obtained. Trigonometric type functions are derived for a third order generalized radial Euler type operator.

On Modeling Laminar Flow Through Variable Permeability Transition Layer
A generalized model of the variable permeability in the transition layer is introduced in this work. This model can handle flows with a small Darcy number and might be useful in controlling permeability amplifications. A solution method for the resulting

Mellin transform of quartic products of shifted Airy functions
The Mellin transform of quartic products of shifted Airy functions is evaluated in a closed form. Some particular cases expressed in terms of the logarithm function and complete elliptic integrals special values are presented.Comment: Submitted to ...

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...
