Liquid Phase Sintering of AISI 316L Stainless Steel

Powder Metallurgy, 1989
The sintering behaviour of AISI 316L powders alloyed with 20%Cu has been studied as a function of various sintering parameters. Copper additions are known to improve compressibility, sinterability, and dimensional control of the final component, as well as improving the corrosion resistance of the sintered material.

Modelling of Stainless Steel AISI 316L in Finite Element Simulations

ce/papers, 2021
AbstractThis paper addresses numerical modelling of a rolled, austenitic stainless steel of grade AISI 316L, corresponding to EN 1.4404. The study comprises uniaxial tension tests at a range of temperatures (from –20°C to 200°C) and at two different strain rates (10–3 s–1 and 10–1 s–1).

Grain boundary networks in AISI 316L stainless steel

Physica Status Solidi (a), 1996
Statistical characteristics of the grain boundary ensembles in two statically recrystallized samples of AISI 316L stainless steel differing in the mean grain size have been determined by means of transmission electron microscopy. These are: the proportion and the relative length of ∑3 boundaries, and the distributions of triple and multiple junctions ...
