Temperature-dependent surface modifications of AISI 316L and AISI 440C stainless steel substrates

Characterization of Electrolytic ZrO2 Coating on AISI 316L Stainless Steel
Journal of The Electrochemical Society, 1999An electrolytic Zr(OH) 4 gel coating on AISI 316L stainless steel sheets has been investigated. The coating was produced by reduction of a ZrO(NO 3 ) 2 aqueous solution. Thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis (TGA and DTA, respectively) of the as-formed electrolytic gel Zr(OH) 4 coating were conducted between 298 and 1373 K.
