Chem BiodiversABSTRACT Pollenkitt, the lipid‐rich coating of pollen grains, is a promising natural ultraviolet (UV)‐protective source rich in phenolic and flavonoid compounds. This study assessed the UV protection capacity of pollenkitt extracted from Narcissus tazetta using six solvents (dH2O, acetone, diethyl ether, ethanol, chloroform, and methanol).

Food Frontiers, Volume 2, Issue 4, Page 508-518, December 2021., 2021 In summary, this study aimed to investigate the antimicrobial and antioxidant activities of thyme, oregano, ginger and fennel EOs. Among tested EOs, larger inhibition zones and lower MIC values against both C. jejuni and C. coli were obtained using oregano and thyme EOs.
