ABSTRACT Brazil and the United States account for more than 40% of global poultry exports, with China and South Korea among their major destination markets. This study examines price transmission and market linkages between Brazil and the United States using monthly poultry export price data from January 1990 to December 2024. It also assesses which of

Selecting an optimal set of parameters using an
The selection of an optimal set of parameters from a larger one is a well known identification problem in classification or clustering algorithms. The Akaike criterion has been developed to estimate the (Markov) order in auto regressive models.

Testing the Fairness of a Coin by Akaike's Information Criterion
In this paper, AIC (Akaike's Information Criterion) is used to judge whether a coin is biased or not using the sequence of heads and tails produced by tossing the coin several times. It is well known that AIC·(−0:5) is an efficient estimator of the expected log-likelihood when the true distribution is contained in a specified parametric model.

Abstract This study presents a coupled population balance model (PBM) for describing the degree‐of‐agglomeration (DoA) in crystallization by independently tracking total particle and agglomerate number densities. Applied to an industrial active pharmaceutical ingredient, the model outperformed bridge‐counting methods and accurately captured DoA trends ...
