Evaluating anisotropy‐based Monin–Obukhov similarity theory over canopies and complex terrain
This study shows that an anisotropy‐based generalization of Monin–Obukhov surface‐layer scaling (SC23) applies readily across a wide range of atmospheric conditions with variable terrain, canopies, and land‐cover complexity. This work focuses on the scaling of velocity variances for 7 years at the 47 sites in the National Ecological Observation Network

A polynomial time primality algorithm

Monitoring forest recovery from disturbances at scale requires tracking tree dynamics, yet traditional ground‐based approaches are resource‐intensive. We present a pipeline to parameterize integral projection models (IPMs) using LiDAR data and hyperspectral‐based species maps to assess post‐fire recovery across large, forested areas at the Caribou ...

Polynomial time primality testing
The topic of my thesis is the testing of prime numbers in polynomial time. The text focuses on the specific algorithm published in 2002 by Manindra Agrawal, Neeraj Kayal and Nitin Saxena and it is known as the AKS primality test.

Local labor market frictions and platform‐based entrepreneurship
Abstract Research Summary Building on prior research about the heterogeneous impact of labor shocks on individuals' propensity to start businesses, we explore how local labor market frictions affect individuals' selection into platform‐based entrepreneurship.

How to treat actinic keratosis? An update
Actinic keratosis (AKs) are one of the most common skin lesions leading to an increased risk of developing squamous cell carcinoma and other skin malignancies. They principally arise as a result of excessive ultraviolet (UV) exposure.

Abortion restriction laws and mobility of scientists
Abstract Research Summary We track the enactment of targeted regulation of abortion providers (TRAP) laws in the United States and analyze 4.98 million person‐year mobility records for 535,568 biomedical scientists from 1990 to 2018. Our estimations reveal a 0.8–1.6 percentage‐point increase in scientists' relocation probability after states enacted ...
