Hydrolysis of Al13 and its coagulation mechanism: Role of speciation stability and transformation

Water Research
Al13 ([AlO4Al12(OH)24(H2O)12]7+) is widely recognized as one of the advantageous species of Al-based coagulants, and its transformation process and micro-interface interaction with pollutants in water treatment continue to attract the attention of researchers.

Observation of Ɛ-Al13-Keggin-oligonucleotide complexes in analytical sample solutions

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences
Complexes formed between aluminum cluster molecules that adopt a Ɛ-Al13-Keggin structure and antisense oligonucleotides were observed as new impurity peaks during drug product stability testing. The Ɛ-Al13-Keggin molecules were determined to be artifacts of the analysis, originating from contact between antisense oligonucleotide drug product solution ...

[Purification and characterization of nano Al13 species in polyaluminum chloride].

Huan jing ke xue= Huanjing kexue, 2006
The polynuclear Keggin species, Al12AlO4(OH)24(H2O)12(7+) (Al13), was firstly separated and purified from polyaluminum chloride (PAC) by the ultra-filtration and column chromatography method. The Al13 yield was characterized by Al-Ferron timed complexation spectrophotometry, 27Al-NMR, TEM and ZATESIZER 3000HSA.
