Salivary aspartate amino transferase and alanine amino transferase of non-insulin-dependents (Type2) diabetic patients.

open access: yesمجلة كلية الطب, 2010
Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a world-wide chronic metabolic disorder affects relatively high percentage of population. A few information is available in diabetes on the salivary content of enzymes GOT (AST) and GPT (ALT).

Effect of Ramadan fasting on alanine transferase (ALT) in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Fasting and Health, 2017
Background: The effects of Ramadan fasting on NAFLD are unknown and there are very limited studies have done in this area. Some nutritional and behavioral changes of fasting people in Ramadan can affect NAFLD.

Alanine amino transferase (ALT) specific activities in long term systemic hypoxic rat brain tissues

open access: yesActa Biochimica Indonesiana, 2019
Background: Brain as a very aerobic organ is sensitive to hypoxia. Energy scarcities must be overcome by gluconeogenesis, which uses alanine or lactate as starting material.

Alanine aminopeptidase, γ-glutamyl transferase and β2-microglobulin as diagnostic markers in patients with rheumatoid arthritis [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Medical Biochemistry, 2008
The purpose of this research is to evaluate the values of alanine aminopeptidase (AAP), γ-glutamyl transferase (γ-GT), and β2-Microglobulin in urine (β2-M), in untreated rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and to define the effect of untreated rheumatoid arthritis

Serum biochemical profiles are distinct between White Leghorn chicken lines selected for divergent antibody response to sheep red blood cells [PDF]

open access: yesBMC Veterinary Research
Background For forty-nine generations, White Leghorn chickens have been selected for divergent responses to injection of sheep red blood cells (SRBCs), generating the high (HAS) or low (LAS) antibody response lines.

Association of gamma‐glutamyl transferase and alanine aminotransferase with type 2 diabetes mellitus incidence in middle‐aged Japanese men: 12‐year follow up

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, 2019
Aims/Introduction To prospectively investigate whether simultaneous elevation of gamma‐glutamyl transferase (GGT) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) is associated with the increase of type 2 diabetes mellitus incidence independent of alcohol drinking ...

Effect of Antihistamines (Fexofenadineand Chlopheneramine) on activity some hepatical enzymes by using fertilized hens eggs embryos as a model

open access: yesTikrit Journal of Pure Science, 2023
The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of antihistamines(Chlorpheneramineand Fexofenadine) on (alkaline phosphatase, aspartate amino transpherase and alanine amino transferase) in tissue of fertilized hens eggs embryos as indicator ...

Alanine-scanning mutagenesis of protein mannosyl-transferase from Streptomyces coelicolor reveals strong activity-stability correlation [PDF]

open access: yesMicrobiology, 2021
In Actinobacteria , protein O-mannosyl transferase (Pmt)-mediated protein O-glycosylation has an important role in cell envelope physiology. In S. coelicolor, defective Pmt leads to increased susceptibility to cell wall-targeting antibiotics, including vancomycin and

Microtitre plate method for alanine transferase (ALT) assays. [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Pathology, 1988
A kinetic assay for alanine transferase (ALT) using microtitre plates and commercially available reagents was developed to retain the advantages conferred by multichannel and semiautomated equipment. The time taken to assay 92 samples was less than 10 minutes, and costs of apparatus and reagents compared favourably with most current methods.
