Dissolution process of albite and albite glass in acid solutions at 47°C
Chemical Geology, 1985Dissolution of albite and albite glass powders in 0.01, 0.001 and 0.0001 N HCl solutions at 47°C was studied by a non-buffered method. Chemical analysis of the solutions showed that they dissolved rapidly and incongruently in the initial stage, and that the dissolution rate decreased and approached to congruence in the next stage.
