Polygenic contributions to alcohol use and alcohol use disorders across population-based and clinically ascertained samples. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Background: Studies suggest that alcohol consumption and alcohol use disorders have distinct genetic backgrounds. Methods: We examined whether polygenic risk scores (PRS) for consumption and problem subscales of the Alcohol Use Disorders ...

Simultaneous Enhancement of Performance and Stability in Dual‐Gate a‐IGZO Thin‐Film Transistors via Single‐Step Laser Annealing for Capacitor‐Less DRAM

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A single‐step laser annealing strategy is presented for dual‐gate a‐IGZO TFTs. The steep thermal gradient induces graded oxygen doping in the channel and simultaneous WOx removal at the contacts, enabling concurrent interface and contact engineering.

Tunable Complementary Doping Strategy Enables High‐Performance Homo‐Channel CMOS in Monolayer WSe2

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polarity‐selective modulation enables a homo‐channel WSe2 CMOS platform from a single 2D semiconductor. MoOx and AlN tune WSe2 toward p‐ and n‐type operation, respectively, yielding complementary FETs and inverters with balanced switching, high voltage gain, low static power, and promising scalability for 2D logic integration.

Nanofiber‐Supported Decellularized Matrix Membrane Creates a Biomimetic Biochemical and Biophysical Niche for Intestinal Organoid Epithelium

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A nanofiber‐supported decellularized extracellular matrix (NaDE) membrane recreates key biochemical and mechanical features of native intestinal tissue. This platform enables the formation of a more physiologically relevant intestinal epithelium, enhancing stem cell maintenance and promoting diverse cell differentiation.
