Fe‐S Protein FDX1 Triggers Tumor‐Intrinsic Innate Immunity via Mitochondrial Nucleic Acids Release to Orchestrate Ferroptosis in CCRCC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 6, 30 January 2026.
Restoration of the mitochondrial Fe–S protein FDX1 suppresses clear cell renal cell carcinoma by coupling ferroptosis with tumor‐intrinsic innate immune activation. FDX1 induces mitochondrial dysfunction and mtDNA/mt‐dsRNA release, activating cGAS–STING and RIG‐I/MDA5–MAVS signaling to elicit type I interferon responses, thereby promoting antigen ...

Therapeutic Potential of Resveratrol in Cancer and Neurodegenerative Disorders: A Current Review

open access: yesBioFactors, Volume 52, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
Resveratrol induces the expressions of TP53, NRF2, and JDP2 axis in cancer cells to control ROS balance in mitochondria. The antioxidation responses were induced through SRIT1/3, HDAC, STAT3, TGFβ, and so on, to trigger the inflammation, and NFkB response to lead to the cell death of cancers or neuro‐damaged cells.

A Meta‐Analysis of the Effects of Chronic Stress on the Prefrontal Transcriptome in Animal Models and Convergence With Existing Human Data

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 1, January 2026.
Chronic stress is linked to many human psychiatric disorders involving the prefrontal cortex (PFC). We performed a meta‐analysis of public transcriptional profiling data that showed that chronically stressed mice have less gene expression for glia and neural activity in the PFC. These findings mirror patterns seen in psychiatric patients.

Bioreduction of β‐ketosulfides Using Deep Eutectic Solvents as Cosolvents

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 2, 28 January 2026.
A set of β‐ketosulfides has been selectively reduced to optically active β‐hydroxysulfides employing KREDs as biocatalysts in the presence of Deep Eutectic Solvents. By appropriately selecting both the biocatalyst and the reaction medium, both alcohol enantiomers can be obtained in high yields and optical purities.
