Elimination of ethanol and acetaldehyde from vitreous humour, retrobulbar tissue and blood after alcohol deprivation in experimental chronic alcoholic intoxication

open access: yes, 2012
Исследование проведено на 42 кроликах самцах породы Шиншилла. 6 кроликов составили контрольную группу. 36 кроликов находились в условиях хронической алкогольной интоксикации (ХАИ) 8 недель.

Pharmaceuticals Made with Hydrogen: A Sustainable and Efficient Approach Using Flow Synthesis

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a sustainable strategy for pharmaceutical manufacturing by combining hydrogen, heterogeneous catalysis, and continuous flow synthesis. The development of novel catalysts and their application in a multi‐step synthesis of donepezil enabled a highly productive process with no intermediate purification.

Monosubstituted N‐Arylhydroxylamine Chemistry: Integrating Contemporary Synthetic Approaches for the Efficient Construction of Diverse Heterocyclic Scaffolds

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Monosubstituted N‐arylhydroxylamines represent a unique subclass of hydroxylamines that act as pivotal intermediates in redox transformations and as versatile platforms for further synthetic transformations. They serve as key building blocks in the synthesis of architecturally complex heterocycles and other valuable organic compounds.

С60 Fullerenes Diminish Dysfunctions in Rat Muscle Soleus With Chronic Alcohol Intoxication

open access: yesJournal of Nanotechnology
It is known that reactive oxygen species are important in the development of alcoholic myopathy, and their suppression by C60 fullerene nanoparticles, as potent antioxidants, is opening up a new direction for their use in biomedical nanotechnology. Here,

Does moderate intoxication facilitate creativity and learning of cocktail preparation?

open access: yes, 2018
Previous studies regarding the effect of intoxication on creativity have shown controversial findings. Some of them reported that intoxication may have no or negative effects on creativity, but others showed that intoxication may improve creative ...

THE EFFECT OF REPEATED ALCOHOLIC INTOXICATION ON ADRENAL ASCORBIC ACID AND CHOLESTEROL IN THE RAT

open access: yes, 1962
Groups of adult male and female albino rats received daily gavage of 1.25 ml of water or of 20% ethanol per 100 g body weight for a period of 1 month, and were killed either 1.5 hours or 24 hours after the last dose.

Structure Elucidation and Total Synthesis of Granolides A–C: Ethyl‐branched Sesquiterpenes From the Tropical Frog Gephyromantis granulatus

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Males of the tropical frog Gephyromantis granulatus carry unique ethyl‐branched sesquiterpenoid macrolactones in their scent glands. Their structure elucidation was performed by GC/MS, leading to the proposed structures of the granolides. A flexible enantioselective synthesis confirmed the structures and allowed determination of their absolute ...

The detection of alcohol intoxication using electrooculography signals from smart glasses and machine learning techniques

open access: yesSystems and Soft Computing
The operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol poses a significant risk to the safety of the driver, passengers, and other road users. Electrooculographic (EOG) signal analysis can be used to understand the movements and behavior of the ...
