Synthesis and Isolation of Bismuth Scorpionate Complexes: Toward Bond Activation via Bismuth‐Ligand Cooperation

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Over the past twenty years, main group chemistry has significantly expanded its scope to include reactivities once considered the exclusive domain of transition metals. Among the emerging concepts, element‐ligand cooperation has proven to be a powerful strategy for enabling bond activation reactions but remains relatively unexplored for ...

Tuning the Twist by Molecular Design: A New Strategy for Hexabenzocoronene‐Containing Helical Twistacene

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
An efficient Scholl–based strategy enables precise control of the C–C bond to access the first hexabenzocoronene–containing helical twistacene (NG2). The resulting nanographene shows pronounced helical distortion, high stability, enhanced solubility, and promising redox and optoelectronic properties.

Optimum plantation spacing with Maple and Alder at a lowland site of the Caspian forests of Iran [PDF]

open access: yesتحقیقات جنگل و صنوبر ایران, 2004
Forest plantation at the degraded parts of the Caspian Forests is important for forest rehabilitation. Most of the plantations at the low and midlands of the Caspian Forests are made with the native broad - leaved species such as Maple, Alder, Ash and ...

Room‐Temperature Helix‐to‐Disc Conversion of Thia[6]helicene S,S‐Dioxides to Coronene via In Situ Phenoxide Anion Generation

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
In situ phenoxide formation at the benzene terminus triggers room‐temperature conversion of thia[6]helicene S,S‐dioxides to coronene. The solubility contrast drives product precipitation, enabling isolation by simple filtration. This pericyclic annulation between the helical termini provides direct access to coronene‐type planar architectures ...

Rapid and non-invasive analysis of paracetamol overdose using paper arrow-mass spectrometry: a prospective observational study

open access: yesBMC Medicine
Background Paracetamol is the most consumed medicine globally. Its accessibility contributes to common overdose. Paracetamol overdose is responsible for > 50% of acute liver failure cases, making it the second most common reason for a liver transplant ...

Burkitt Lymphoma of Thyroid Gland in an Adolescent

open access: yesCase Reports in Pediatrics, 2014
Burkitt Lymphoma is a highly aggressive form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma that in nonendemic areas has abdominal primary sites. We report a very rare case of Burkitt lymphoma of the thyroid gland presenting as a rapidly growing thyroid swelling in a 14-year-

An optimizing microseismic method for rock burst early warning based on mining production process

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
A classification early warning method of rock burst based on hourly microseismic data is proposed, which can be combined with the on‐site production process to provide more timely warning. Abstract Microseismic (MS) events have been reported in nearly every coal mining country, which could well lead to rock burst in underground coal mines.

Habitat complexity and prey composition shape an apex predator's habitat use across contrasting landscapes

open access: yesEcography, EarlyView.
The spatial ecology of stalk‐and‐ambush predators like the Eurasian lynx Lynx lynx depends on prey availability and environmental features, yet the relative roles of these factors remain unclear at large spatial scales. In this study, we analysed lynx habitat use across central and southern Finland using snow‐track data from the Wildlife Triangle ...
