Radion effects on the production of an intermediate-mass scalar and Z at LEP II [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
We have studied the $e^+ e^- \to Z \phi_i \to Z jj$ process, where $\phi_i$ is the Higgs and/or radion bosons. The implications of the radion effects on the preliminary ALEPH data are also discussed.

The symbiotic magnetic-sensing hypothesis: do Magnetotactic Bacteria underlie the magnetic sensing capability of animals?

open access: yesMovement Ecology, 2017
The ability to sense Earth’s magnetic field has evolved in various taxa. However, despite great efforts to find the ‘magnetic-sensor’ in vertebrates, the results of these scientific efforts remain inconclusive.

Four-jet Signal at LEP2 and Supersymmetry [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
ALEPH has reported a significant excess of four-jet events in the LEP runs above the Z^0 resonance, which however has not been confirmed by the other LEP collaborations. We assume here that this excess corresponds to a physics signal and try to interpret

On weakly tight families

open access: yes, 2010
Using ideas from Shelah's recent proof that a completely separable maximal almost disjoint family exists when $\c < {\aleph}_{\omega}$, we construct a weakly tight family under the hypothesis $\s \leq \b < {\aleph}_{\omega}$.

(Some of) recent $\gamma\gamma$ measurements from LEP

open access: yes, 2001
Inclusive measurement of $J/\Psi$ (DELPHI), search for $\eta_b$ (ALEPH) and measurement of the cross-section of the double-tagged $\gamma\gamma$ events (ALEPH) are briefly overviewed.Comment: 6 pages, 2 figures in ps and 5 in eps, talk given at XXXI ...

Measurement of the B0 and B- meson lifetimes in ALEPH [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The lifetimed of the Bbar0 and B- meson lifetimes are measured using data recorded on the Z peak with the ALEPH detector at LEP. An improved analysis based on partially reconstructed Bbar0 -> D*+l-nubar and B- -> D0l-nubar decays is presented.Comment: 3 ...
