Consumers' Willingness to Pay for Sustainable Mobile Phones: An Adaptive Choice‐Based Conjoint and Market Simulation Approach Testing a Multi‐Level Eco‐Score

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates the impact of a multi‐level eco‐score on willingness to pay for sustainable mobile phones. Using adaptive choice‐based conjoint analysis and market simulation, the study evaluates the effectiveness of a traffic light‐colored multi‐level eco‐score in a realistic market scenario.

Preventing and Recovering Food Waste in Manufacturing Firms: A Contingency Perspective on Circular Economy Practices

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Food waste is a sustainability concern in the food industry, which can be mitigated through a circular economy. Circularity can be limited by contextual constraints, such as the characteristics of the waste to be recovered. However, their study in the context of food waste is scarce.

Model‐Based Optimization of Fed‐Batch In Vitro Transcription

open access: yesChemBioChem, EarlyView.
Using a mathematical model for the enzyme kinetics and solution thermodynamics of the in vitro transcription reaction, new optimized strategies are developed for fed‐batch transcription that can decrease the resource costs of mRNA synthesis while maintaining critical quality attributes for efficacy in vivo.

Dynamics of the Galvanic Replacement Reaction of Silver by Gold: Phenomenological Models for Open Circuit Potential‐Time Responsive Indicator

open access: yesChemElectroChem, EarlyView.
This article explores the dynamics of replacing three silver atoms by one gold atom (galvanic replacement reaction [GRR]) within silver nanoparticles. The reaction is tracked experimentally using open circuit potential and then mathematically fitted to a sigmoidal kinetic function inspired by autocatalytic and enzymatic cascade reaction functions to ...
