Kac-Moody Extensions of 3-Algebras and M2-branes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We study the 3-algebraic structure involved in the recently shown M2-branes worldvolume gauge theories. We first extend an arbitrary finite dimensional 3-algebra into an infinite dimensional 3-algebra by adding a mode number to each generator.

Wrońskian algebra and Broadhurst–Roberts quadratic relations [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Number Theory and Physics, 2020
Through algebraic manipulations on Wronskian matrices whose entries are reducible to Bessel moments, we present a new analytic proof of the quadratic relations conjectured by Broadhurst and Roberts, along with some generalizations.

Theory of overparametrization in quantum neural networks [PDF]

open access: yesNature Computational Science, 2021
The prospect of achieving quantum advantage with quantum neural networks (QNNs) is exciting. Understanding how QNN properties (for example, the number of parameters M) affect the loss landscape is crucial to designing scalable QNN architectures.

Why is Quantum Physics Based on Complex Numbers? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The modern quantum theory is based on the assumption that quantum states are represented by elements of a complex Hilbert space. It is expected that in future quantum theory the number field will be not postulated but derived from more general principles.

The Largest Subsemilattices of the Endomorphism Monoid of an Independence Algebra [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
An algebra $\A$ is said to be an independence algebra if it is a matroid algebra and every map $\al:X\to A$, defined on a basis $X$ of $\A$, can be extended to an endomorphism of $\A$.

Wavelet-based systematic risk estimation for GCC stock markets and impact of the embargo on the Qatar case

open access: yesQuantitative Finance and Economics, 2023
Systematic risk is one of the well-known indices involved in the market situation study. One of the disadvantages of scientific studies of market indices is the lack of involving extreme changes such as embargos and other crises in the model. The present

Quantum solutions of a nonlinear Schrödinger equation [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Numerical Analysis and Optimization
In the present paper, we precisely conduct a quantum calculus method for the numerical solutions of PDEs. A nonlinear Schrödinger equation is considered. Instead of the known classical discretization methods based on the finite difference scheme, Adomian

Hall Current Effect of Magnetic-Optical-Elastic-Thermal-Diffusive Non-Local Semiconductor Model during Electrons-Holes Excitation Processes

open access: yesCrystals, 2022
This paper investigates a theoretical model for the interaction between electrons and holes (E/H) in elastic non-local semiconductors. When the medium is activated by photo-energy because of high temperatures, an optical-elastic-thermal-diffusion (OETD ...

Primary decompositions of unital locally matrix algebras [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of Mathematical Sciences, 2020
We construct a unital locally matrix algebra of uncountable dimension that (1) does not admit a primary decomposition, (2) has an infinite locally finite Steinitz number. It gives negative answers to questions from [V. M.
