Cognition–Eye–Brain Connection in Alzheimer's Disease Spectrum Revealed by Multimodal Imaging

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The connection between cognition, eye, and brain remains inconclusive in Alzheimer's disease (AD) spectrum disorders. Purpose To explore the relationship between cognitive function, retinal biometrics, and brain alterations in the AD spectrum. Study Type Prospective.

Algebraic Immunities of Functions over Finite Fields

open access: yes, 2005
A general mathematical definition for a function from $GF(q)^n$ to $GF(q)^m$ to resist to cryptanalytic attacks is developed. It generalize the definition of Algebraic Immunity for Stream Cipher to any finite field and also Block Cipher. This algebraic immunity correspond to equations with low leading term according a monomial ordering.

Extended Learning Robustness for High‐Fidelity Human Face Imaging from Spatiotemporally Decorrelated Speckles

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
A GAN‐based framework is proposed that tackles spatiotemporal instabilities of scattering media and addresses decorrelation between training and testing data (no overlap between their collection periods). The trained GAN non‐holographically retrieves high‐fidelity human face images from unstable scattering media and effectively addresses speckle ...

Global and microlocal aspects of Dirac operators: Propagators and Hadamard states

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, EarlyView.
Abstract We propose a geometric approach to construct the Cauchy evolution operator for the Lorentzian Dirac operator on Cauchy‐compact globally hyperbolic 4‐manifolds. We realize the Cauchy evolution operator as the sum of two invariantly defined oscillatory integrals—the positive and negative Dirac propagators—global in space and in time, with ...

A fractional‐order trace‐dev‐div inequality

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, EarlyView.
Abstract The trace‐dev‐div inequality in Hs$H^s$ controls the trace in the norm of Hs$H^s$ by that of the deviatoric part plus the Hs−1$H^{s-1}$ norm of the divergence of a quadratic tensor field different from the constant unit matrix. This is well known for s=0$s=0$ and established for orders 0≤s≤1$0\le s\le 1$ and arbitrary space dimension in this ...
