On Definability of Universal Graphic Automata by Their Input Symbol Semigroups [PDF]
Universal graphic automaton Atm(G, G′ ) is the universally attracting object in the category of automata, for which the set of states is equipped with the structure of a graph G and the set of output symbols is equipped with the structure of a graph G ...

The gamma-filtration and the Rost invariant
Let X be the variety of Borel subgroups of a simple and strongly inner linear algebraic group G over a field k. We prove that the torsion part of the second quotient of Grothendieck's gamma-filtration on X is a cyclic group of order the Dynkin index of G.

Analytic residues along algebraic cycles
We present a restricted version of some affine Jacobi's residue formula (on an affine algebraic variety) with applications to higher dimensional (and affine) analogues of Wood's (or Reiss's) relations about the interpolation of pieces of analytic manifolds.

Impact of Anomalous Active Regions on the Large-scale Magnetic Field of the Sun
One of the major sources of perturbation in the solar cycle amplitude is believed to be the emergence of anomalous active regions that do not obey Hale’s polarity law and Joy’s law of tilt angles.

Torsion algebraic cycles and complex cobordism
We show that the cycle map on a variety X, from algebraic cycles modulo algebraic equivalence to integer cohomology, lifts canonically to a topologically defined quotient of the complex cobordism ring of X. This more refined cycle map gives a topological

The Ceresa period from tropical homology
The Jacobian of a very general complex algebraic curve of genus at least 3 contains an algebraic cycle called the Ceresa cycle that is homologically trivial but algebraically nontrivial.

Sum-of-squares decompositions for a family of noncontextuality inequalities and self-testing of quantum devices [PDF]
Violation of a noncontextuality inequality or the phenomenon referred to `quantum contextuality' is a fundamental feature of quantum theory. In this article, we derive a novel family of noncontextuality inequalities along with their sum-of-squares ...

Virtual moduli cycles and Gromov-Witten invariants of algebraic varieties
We introduce a method of constructing the virtual cycle of any scheme associated with a tangent-obstruction complex. We apply this method to constructing the virtual moduli cycle of the moduli of stable maps from n-pointed genus g curves to any smooth ...

Let \(A\) be a finite dimensional algebra over an algebraically closed field, and \(\text{mod }A\) denote the category of its finitely generated right modules. Then \(A\) is said to be cycle-finite if, for every sequence \(M_0 @>f_1>> M_1 @>f_2>> M_2\to\dots @>f_n>> M_n=M_0\) of non-zero non-isomorphisms between indecomposable objects in \(\text{mod }A\
