Algebraic functions with even monodromy
Let $X$ be a compact Riemann surface of genus $g$ and $d\geq 12g+4$ be an integer. We show that $X$ admits meromorphic functions with monodromy group equal to the alternating group $A_d.

Selected non-holonomic functions in lattice statistical mechanics and enumerative combinatorics
We recall that the full susceptibility series of the Ising model, modulo powers of the prime 2, reduce to algebraic functions. We also recall the non-linear polynomial differential equation obtained by Tutte for the generating function of the q-coloured ...

Gaps in Taylor series of algebraic functions [PDF]
Let $f$ be a rational function on an algebraic curve over the complex numbers. For a point $p$ and local parameter $x$ we can consider the Taylor series for $f$ in the variable $x$.

In this paper, we discuss the effect of the cryptographic properties of translation transformation rotation symmetric Boolean functions. On construction of rotation symmetric Boolean functions with the optimal algebraic immunity, we construct correlation

Flat structure and potential vector fields related with algebraic solutions to Painlevé VI equation [PDF]
A potential vector field is a solution of an extended WDVV equation which is a generalization of a WDVV equation. It is expected that potential vector fields corresponding to algebraic solutions of Painlevé VI equation can be written by using ...

On the Algebraic Independence of the Values of Functions Associated with Hypergeometric Functions
Functions that are integrals of products of generalized hypergeometric functions of some kind are considered. The conditions for the representability of these functions as a polynomial in hypergeometric ones are found.

Nested Sums, Expansion of Transcendental Functions and Multi-Scale Multi-Loop Integrals [PDF]
Expansion of higher transcendental functions in a small parameter are needed in many areas of science. For certain classes of functions this can be achieved by algebraic means.

A numerical model resulting from irreversible thermodynamics for describing transport processes is introduced, focusing on thermodynamic activity gradients as the actual driving force for diffusion. Implemented in CUDA C++ and using CalPhaD methods for determining the necessary activity data, the model accurately simulates interdiffusion in aluminum ...
