A Sharper Ramsey Theorem for Constrained Drawings

open access: yesJournal of Graph Theory, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Given a graph G $G$ and a collection C ${\mathscr{C}}$ of subsets of Rd ${{\mathbb{R}}}^{d}$ indexed by the subsets of vertices of G $G$, a constrained drawing of G $G$ is a drawing where each edge is drawn inside some set from C ${\mathscr{C}}$, in such a way that nonadjacent edges are drawn in sets with disjoint indices.

Conformal Hypergraphs: Duality and Implications for the Upper Clique Transversal Problem

open access: yesJournal of Graph Theory, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Given a hypergraph H ${\rm{ {\mathcal H} }}$, the dual hypergraph of H ${\rm{ {\mathcal H} }}$ is the hypergraph of all minimal transversals of H ${\rm{ {\mathcal H} }}$. The dual hypergraph is always Sperner, that is, no hyperedge contains another.

A General Approach to Dropout in Quantum Neural Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, EarlyView., 2023
Randomly dropping artificial neurons and all their connections in the training phase reduces overfitting issues in classical neural networks, thus improving performances on previously unseen data. The authors introduce different dropout strategies applied to quantum neural networks, learning models based on parametrized quantum circuits.

Technologies for faults diagnosis of FPGA logic blocks

open access: yesArid Zone Journal of Engineering, Technology and Environment, 2012
The critical issues of testing field programmable gate arrays (FPGA) with a view to diagnosing faults are an important step that ensures the reliability of FPGA designs.

On Bipartite Biregular Large Graphs Derived From Difference Sets

open access: yesJournal of Graph Theory, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A bipartite graph G = ( V , E ) $G=(V,E)$ with V = V 1 ∪ V 2 $V={V}_{1}\cup {V}_{2}$ is biregular if all the vertices of each stable set, V 1 ${V}_{1}$ and V 2 ${V}_{2}$, have the same degree, r $r$ and s $s$, respectively. This paper studies difference sets derived from both Abelian and non‐Abelian groups.

Benefits of Open Quantum Systems for Quantum Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, EarlyView., 2023
Quantum machine learning (QML), poised to transform data processing, faces challenges from environmental noise and dissipation. While traditional efforts seek to combat these hindrances, this perspective proposes harnessing them for potential advantages. Surprisingly, under certain conditions, noise and dissipation can benefit QML.

Current Landscape of Short‐T2 Imaging Techniques in the Musculoskeletal System: The Past, Present and Future

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Conventional MRI is limited in imaging tissues with short T2 relaxation times, such as bone, ligaments, and cartilage, due to their rapid signal decay. This limitation has spurred the development of specialized MRI techniques designed specifically for short‐T2 tissue imaging.
