Cellular Automata-Based Methods for the Construction of Mutually Unbiased Bases

open access: yesMathematics
Mutually unbiased bases (MUBs) are essential tools in quantum information science, with applications in state tomography, quantum cryptography, and quantum error correction.

The Genus Field and Genus Number in Algebraic Number Fields [PDF]

open access: yesNagoya Mathematical Journal, 1967
Let k be an algebraic number field and K be its normal extension of finite degree. Then the genus field K* of K over k is defined as the maximal unramified extension of K which is obtained from K by composing an abelian extension over k2). We call the degree (K*: K) the genus number of K over k.

Bayesian inverse ensemble forecasting for COVID‐19

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, EarlyView.
Abstract Variations in strains of COVID‐19 have a significant impact on the rate of surges and on the accuracy of forecasts of the epidemic dynamics. The primary goal for this article is to quantify the effects of varying strains of COVID‐19 on ensemble forecasts of individual “surges.” By modelling the disease dynamics with an SIR model, we solve the ...

On plane polynomial vector fields and the Poincare problem

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2002
In this paper we address the Poincare problem, on plane polynomial vector fields, under some conditions on the nature of the singularities of invariant curves.

Killing vector fields of locally rotationally symmetric Bianchi type V spacetime

open access: yesScientific Reports
The classification of locally rotationally symmetric Bianchi type V spacetime based on its killing vector fields is presented in this paper using an algebraic method.

Lattice index codes from algebraic number fields [PDF]

open access: yes2015 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT), 2015
Broadcasting $K$ independent messages to multiple users where each user demands all the messages and has a subset of the messages as side information is studied. Recently, Natarajan, Hong, and Viterbo proposed a novel broadcasting strategy called lattice index coding which uses lattices constructed over some principal ideal domains (PIDs) for ...

Self‐Similar Blowup for the Cubic Schrödinger Equation

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We give a rigorous proof for the existence of a finite‐energy, self‐similar solution to the focusing cubic Schrödinger equation in three spatial dimensions. The proof is computer‐assisted and relies on a fixed point argument that shows the existence of a solution in the vicinity of a numerically constructed approximation.

Invariant Measure and Universality of the 2D Yang–Mills Langevin Dynamic

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We prove that the Yang–Mills (YM) measure for the trivial principal bundle over the two‐dimensional torus, with any connected, compact structure group, is invariant for the associated renormalised Langevin dynamic. Our argument relies on a combination of regularity structures, lattice gauge‐fixing and Bourgain's method for invariant measures ...

Sustainability‐Oriented Collaborations in Green Energy Markets Formation: A Configurational Analysis of Alliance Management Capabilities and Relational View

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sustainability‐oriented collaborations are inter‐organisational arrangements where the competencies of multiple companies are pooled together to tackle environmental challenges. These collaborations differ from traditional strategic alliances in that they tackle complex goals amidst greater uncertainties that extend beyond economic performance,

Evolutionary dynamics on a regular networked structured and unstructured multi‐population

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract In this paper, we study collective decision‐making in a multi‐population framework, where groups of individuals represent whole populations that interact by means of a regular network. Each group consists of a number of players and every player can choose between two options.
