Block-encoding dense and full-rank kernels using hierarchical matrices: applications in quantum numerical linear algebra [PDF]
Many quantum algorithms for numerical linear algebra assume black-box access to a block-encoding of the matrix of interest, which is a strong assumption when the matrix is not sparse.

Quantum symmetry algebras of spin systems related to Temperley–Lieb R-matrices [PDF]
A reducible representation of the Temperley–Lieb algebra is constructed on the tensor product of n-dimensional spaces. One obtains as a centralizer of this action a quantum algebra (a quasitriangular Hopf algebra) Uq with a representation ring equivalent to the representation ring of the sl2 Lie algebra.

The application of the orthogonal decomposition method for the algebraic solver separator
The method which is valid for improving the transmission of information and a clean separation of signal and noise is suggested in [1]. The basis of the proposed new way of developing the theory and methods of communication is the rejection of the ...

Scattering of Sound Waves in Two Stepped Non-uniformly Lined Duct
Scattering of sound waves in two stepped cylindrical duct which walls are coated with different acoustically absorbent materials is investigated by using Wiener-Hopf technique directly and by determining scattering matrices.

New aspects of two Hessian-Riemannian metrics in plane [PDF]
Due to the importance of Hessian structures we express some algebraic and geo\-me\-tric features of two such semi-Riemannian metrics in dimension two. For this purpose we use the separable coordinate systems of the Euclidean plane. Several properties are
