Quantum Algorithms for Classical Probability Distributions

open access: yes, 2019
We study quantum algorithms working on classical probability distributions. We formulate four different models for accessing a classical probability distribution on a quantum computer, which are derived from previous work on the topic, and study their mutual relationships.

Stabilization of Strongly Reduced Fe(I) Single Atom Species Coordinated in a 2D Self‐Assembled Metal–Organic Network

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A graphene‐supported 2D metal–organic network stabilizes highly reactive Fe(I)‐N4 single sites through Co‐induced charge redistribution. Combined experiments and theory reveal Fe(I) formation, oxygen‐driven oxidation, and O2 activation mechanisms, offering a strategy to access low‐valent iron centers relevant to catalytic and biological processes ...

LEAD: Literature Enhanced Ab Initio Discovery of Nitride Dusting Layers for Enhanced Tunnel Magnetoresistance and Lower Resistance Magnetic Tunnel Junctions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) using MgO tunnel barriers face challenges of high resistance‐area product and low tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR). To discover alternative materials, Literature Enhanced Ab initio Discovery (LEAD) is developed. The LEAD‐predicted materials are theoretically evaluated, showing that MTJs with dusting of ScN or TiN on ...

Linking Interseismic Locking to Coseismic Rupture: The 2025 Mw 8.8 Kamchatka Earthquake

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
We investigate interseismic locking on the Kamchatka megathrust, source of the 2025 Mw 8.8 earthquake, using a data‐driven probabilistic framework. Horizontal GNSS velocities constrain a boundary element model on a triangulated megathrust geometry, while

Exploring Algorithmic Assemblages Through Multimodal Inquiry

open access: yes
We explore the increasing role of algorithms in organizational processes, conceptualized as “algorithmic organizing.” As algorithms move from being mere tools to embedded drivers of organizational processes, they redefine traditional boundaries in work ...
