Big Data Technology in Intelligent Translation Algorithm in Computer Science

2021
With the rapid development of science and technology, more and more communication and exchanges are transmitting information through the network, which has higher and higher requirements for the difficulty of intelligent translation. On this basis, this article will specifically analyze the main factors that affect computer network information ...

Teaching experiences using algorithm visualization in 1st year computer science

Proceedings of IEEE Frontiers in Education Conference - FIE '93, 2002
There has been a great deal of recent activity in integrating algorithm visualization courseware into the first year computer science course (CS1 and CS2). At the University of the District of Columbia, the authors became interested in this area as a means of improving student performance in their first year course.

A critical review of the notion of algorithm in computer science

Proceedings of the 1993 ACM conference on Computer science - CSC '93, 1993
We first review the development of the notion of the algorithm as a fundamental paradigm of mathematics. We then suggest a definition of computer science that distinguishes it from all other sciences and from mathematics. Finally we argue that the conceptual concerns of computer science are quite different from the conceptual concerns of mathematics ...

Recursive algorithms in computer science courses: Fibonacci numbers and binomial coefficients

IEEE Transactions on Education, 2000
We observe that the computational inefficiency of branched recursive functions was not appropriately covered in almost all textbooks for computer science courses in the first three years of the curriculum. Fibonacci numbers and binomial coefficients were frequently used as examples of branched recursive functions.

Using Small -Step Refinement for Algorithm Verification in Computer Science Education

International Journal for Technology in Mathematics Education, 2015
Stepwise program refinement techniques can be used to simplify program verification. Programs are better understood since their main properties are clearly stated, and verification of rather complex algorithms is reduced to proving simple statements connecting successive program specifications.
