A proof‐of‐concept of a thermally‐tunable cathodoluminescence‐based light source is demonstrated using a wide‐bandgap z‐cut ZnO crystal as anode, resulting in the ultraviolet (UV) emission peak shifting from 398 nm to ~409 nm (3.115‐3.032 eV). Our results establish the feasibility of a compact, field‐deployable UV source with potential for gas sensing ...

Invasive alien species in Macaronesia
"[…]. As a consequence of all the geographic conditions and of historical events, the Canaries show the richest biodiversity. As an example, regarding endemic taxa, the Canaries have 524 vascular plants and 2768 arthropods (Martín Esquivel et al. 2005) while the Azores have 72 and 267, respectively (Borges et al.

Modeling and Improving Geometric Accuracy in Projection Multiphoton Lithography
A numerical framework describing the optical and photochemical processes is developed to elucidate the origins of geometric deviations in projection multiphoton lithography. The results indicate that oxygen diffusion and inhibition, and DMD diffraction, lead to geometric distortions.
