Spectroscopic Determination of Cysteine with Alizarin Red S and Copper

Spectroscopy Letters, 2008
ABSTRACT The interaction between metal complex Cu2+–ARS (Alizarin Red S) and l-cysteine was investigated via fluorescence and absorption spectroscopies. In pH 5.2 Britton–Robinson buffer, the addition of L-cysteine into Cu2+–ARS system resulted in a fluorescence enhancement because cysteine reduced Cu2+ to Cu+, which led to Cu2+–ARS decompound, and ARS

Synergistic effect of hybrid Ce3+/Ce4+ doped Bi2O3 nano-sphere photocatalyst for enhanced photocatalytic degradation of alizarin red S dye and its NUV excited photoluminescence studies

Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering, 2019
Highly spherical structured Ce3+/Ce4+ doped Bi2O3 nanosphere photocatalyst was prepared by simple solid state reaction route. The crystallite phase of a photocatalyst plays an important role on its activity.

Photocatalytic activity of G-TiO2@Fe3O4 with persulfate for degradation of alizarin red S under visible light.

Chemosphere, 2020
A composite photocatalyst combined with TiO2, graphite (G) and Fe3O4 was prepared by co-precipitation method. Then the G-TiO2@Fe3O4 was employed with persulfate (PS) to degrade alizarin red S (ARS) under visible light. The removal rate of ARS reached 100%

Organically modified micron-sized vermiculite and silica for efficient removal of Alizarin Red S dye pollutant from aqueous solution

, 2020
Micron-sized vermiculite (VMT) clay was modified with 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) through sonication. The surface modification was proficient within 30 min of sonication relatively than long reflux times reported prior.

Uranyl-alizarin red-s complex.a spectrophotometric study

Analytica Chimica Acta, 1955
Abstract From spectrochemical studies on the blue complex resulting from uranyl and alizarin-S, it has been shown that a compound in the stoichiometric ratio 1:1 of uranyl and reagent is formed. The compound is stable at pH 8.2. The peaks of absorption of the reagent at 520 mu; and of the uranyl compound at 570 mμ have been accounted for, applying ...

Pink Staining of Pernicious Anemia Megaloblasts by Alizarin Red S

American Journal of Clinical Pathology, 1974
The anthraquinone dye alizarin red S produced pink staining of the cytoplasm of proerythroblasts and megaloblasts in 8 patients with untreated pernicious anemia. This pink staining was not observed in erthyroid precursors from severely folatedeficient individuals, or from a variety of other types of anemic or normal controls.

Determination of Pb(II) and Cd(II) via anodic stripping voltammetry using an in-situ bismuth film electrode. Increasing the sensitivity of the method by the presence of Alizarin Red S

, 2020
Using the differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry technique and an in-situ bismuth film deposited on a glassy carbon electrode, a simple and sensitive method for rapid Pb(II) and Cd(II) quantification was developed.

Comparative efficacy of differing modes of administering alizarin red S in dogs

Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1969
Abstract Although it has been widely accepted that the use of alizarin red S in vital staining techniques is an accurate method of measuring bone growth, we have found the staining to be less than sharp or intense via all routes of administration. Furthermore, the literature does not reflect the serious toxic and untoward effects which frequently ...

Spectrophotometric study of the complex of lanthanum and alizarin Red S

Talanta, 1961
Abstract The complex of lanthanum with alizarin Red S in acetate medium has been studied spectrophotometrically since it appears to be promising for the determination of the chemical yield in radioactivation analysis of rare earth elements. At pH 4.6 (acetate buffer) the molecular ratio lanthanum: alizarin Red S is 1:2.

Determination of proteins with Alizarin Red S by Rayleigh light scattering technique

Talanta, 2004
A new protein determination method by enhanced Rayleigh light scattering (RLS) technique has been developed. In acid condition (pH=3.60), RLS of 1,2-dihydroxyanthraquinone-3-sulfonate (Alizarin Red S) can be greatly enhanced by addition of proteins, resulting in two characteristic peaks, 360 and 505nm, respectively.
