The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of various contents and modulus ratios of alkali activators on strength development and drying shrinkage of alkali-activated slag pastes. Experimental results show that the alkali-modulus ratio is the key factor influencing pH value and drying shrinkage.

Fracture properties of alkali activated mortars
Proceedings of the 10th International Conference on Fracture Mechanics of Concrete and Concrete Structures, 2019In this paper, three different coal fly ash-based alkali activated mortars are studied. The three different mortars are obtained using the same binding system but different types (i.e. silica sand or expanded perlite) and sizes of aggregates.
