Neoarchean Arc Magmatism and Crust Recycling in the Northern Marginal Zone of the Limpopo Complex, Zimbabwe: New Insights From Zircon U‐Pb‐Hf Isotopes of a Charnockite Suite

open access: yesGeological Journal, Volume 61, Issue 3, Page 566-592, March 2026.
Charnockites with 2691–2607 Ma magmatic ages from the NMZ show arc‐magmatic geochemical signatures. They correspond to the lower‐crustal equivalent of the Chilimanzi Suite Granite in the Zimbabwe Craton. Lu‐Hf isotopic data of magmatic zircons show negative εHf(t) values (−11.18 to −2.20) with TDMC ages of 3699–3158 Ma, suggesting their protolith ...

Evolution of the Transantarctic Basin (Southern Gondwana): Insights From Quantitative Sandstone Petrography

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Geology and Geophysics, Volume 69, Issue 1, March 2026.
The deposition of the sandstone sedimentary succession of the Beacon Supergroup lasted more than 200 Myr (Devonian to Early Jurassic) in Victoria Land and nearby territories in the so‐called Transantarctic Basin, recording crucial events in the history of the Earth.

Initiation of the Ferrar Large Igneous Province Started in Southern North Victoria Land, Antarctica, With Shallow Emplacement of Sills Causing Magma‐Soft‐Rock Interaction and Phreatomagmatic Eruptions

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Geology and Geophysics, Volume 69, Issue 1, March 2026.
Early Jurassic volcanism was in the southern north Victoria Land portion of the Ferrar Large Igneous Province preceded by multiple phases of shallow‐level intrusions of Ferrar sills into the 300 m thick cover of sedimentary rocks of the Triassic‐Jurassic Victoria Group.

Accessory minerals and evolution of tin-bearing S-type granites in the western segment of the Gemeric Unit (Western Carpathians)

open access: yesGeologica Carpathica, 2018
The S-type accessory mineral assemblage of zircon, monazite-(Ce), fluorapatite and tourmaline in the cupolas of Permian granites of the Gemeric Unit underwent compositional changes and increased variability and volume due to intensive volatile flux.

Rapid Slab Rollback Drives Early Cretaceous Back‐Arc Extension in NE China: Implication for Crustal Growth and Episodic Porphyry Mineralization

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, Volume 27, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract The subduction of the Paleo‐Pacific Plate beneath the NE Asian continental margin induced extensive magmatism, providing an excellent opportunity to investigate the interplay between plate dynamics, arc magmatism, continental crust formation, and porphyry mineralization.
