Oxygen Vacancy‐Enriched Platinum Single‐Atom Nanozyme Wrapped in Nanoislands: Unlocking Catalytic Activity and Reprogramming Redox Microenvironment for Osteonecrosis Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CeO2‐x/Pt single‐atom nano‐island is constructed via low‐temperature reduction, featuring abundant oxygen vacancies and an island–sea structure. It delivers outstanding multi‐enzyme‐mimetic activity and ROS‐scavenging efficiency. Density functional theory reveals optimized electronic structures and reaction pathways.

Histone Modification Complex JMJ704‐HDA709 Negatively Regulates Salinity Tolerance in Rice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the rice histone demethylase JMJ704 interacts with HDA709―a H3K9ac deacetylase characterized herein―to form a chromatin‐modifying complex. Under salt stress, OsWRKY72 recruits this complex through interaction with JMJ704 to target loci, repressing the expression of oxidative stress and salt‐responsive genes via removal of ...

FLUCTUATION OF SIZE-FRACTIONATED ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE AFTER BLOOM DISAPPEARANCE IN TWO SHALLOW PONDS

open access: yes, 2009
The temporal and vertical fluctuations of size fractionated alkaline phosphatase activity (APA) and kinetics parameters as well as orthophosphate (o-P) and chlorophyll concentrations were investigated after bloom disappearance in two shallow ponds A and ...

Melatonin Alleviates Graft Biliary Fibrosis by Inhibiting VIM+ Cholangiocyte Subcluster via Hypoxia/TGF‐β‐CREM‐VIM Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell RNA sequencing verified the presence of the VIM+ biliary epithelial cell (BEC) in the bile ducts of NAS patients. The hypoxia/TGF‐β‐CREM‐VIM axis mediated phenotypic switch toward VIM+ BEC is validated using a hypoxia/TGF‐β‐stimulated cellular model, a rat liver transplantation model, BEC‐specific Crem conditional knockout rats, and BEC ...

Alkaline Phosphatase Activity of Phytoplankton from Mangrove Ecosystem of Chorao (Goa), West Coast of India [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
158-159The premonsoon and postmonsoon abundance in phytoplankton was associated with the peak in alkaline phosphatase activity. The relative phytoplankton alkaline phosphatase activity varied slightly at surface (0.5 m), subsurface (2 m) and bottom ...

Engineered Exosomal miR‐146a‐5p Reprograms BMSC Fate and Restores Mitochondrial Homeostasis in Glucocorticoid‐Induced Osteonecrosis of Femoral Head

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Exosomal miR‐146a‐5p is identified as a pivotal regulator in steroid‐induced osteonecrosis. Its reduction activates NF‐κB signaling, compromises mitophagy, and disrupts mitochondrial bioenergetics, resulting in autophagic disequilibrium. Engineered exosomes delivering miR‐146a‐5p reinstate mitochondrial function, augment oxidative phosphorylation and ...

Epidermal METTL1‐Mediated m7G Modification Drives Psoriatic Inflammation by Stabilizing Bdkrb1 and Orchestrating Neutrophil Recruitment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study unveils an unrecognized pro‐inflammatory epitranscriptomic checkpoint in psoriasis. By installing m7G modifications on the 5′ UTR of Bdkrb1 mRNA, METTL1 enhances receptor stability to orchestrate keratinocyte‐driven neutrophil recruitment via p38 MAPK signaling.

M2 macrophages decrease alkaline phosphatase activity through Wnt signalling pathways.

open access: yes, 2013
A) Graphs show alkaline phosphatase activity in Caco-2 cells co-cultured with macrophages or with an empty insert (n=5). Some cells were treated with XAV939, 1µM (n=4).
