ABSTRACT Background Supportive care needs of patients receiving immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) are ill‐defined. Hence, known treatment‐related adverse events (TRAEs) and health‐related quality of life (HRQoL) associated with ICI treatment for HNSCC were examined to inform future supportive care ...

Ascorbic Acid and Alkaline Phosphatase Activity
Ascorbic acid is found strikingly to decrease the activity of bovine kidney alkaline phosphatase in vitro. The inhibition of alkaline phosphatase is a function of ascorbic acid concentration and is time and temperature dependent. The presence of the substrate protects the enzyme against the inhibitory action of the vitamin.

Phosphoprotein phosphatase activity of bovine intestinal alkaline phosphatase
Experientia, 1981The phosphoprotein phosphatase activity of a commercial preparation of bovine intestinal alkaline phosphatase (EC 3.1.3.1) was examined using phosvitin and dentine phosphoprotein as substrates. Over 90% and 70% of the phosphorus from dentine phosphoprotein and phosvitin were hydrolyzed in 2 h.

Alkaline phosphatase activity of the mouse
Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part C: Comparative Pharmacology, 1984Plasma alkaline phosphatase (PAP) activity of young adult CD mice is low (e.g. 1/10th of that of rat) and is lower in males than in females. The variability of PAP was assessed in groups of mice kept under different husbandry conditions (e.g. caging, diet, SPF). PAP activities of fed and fasted mice are similar.

Inhibition of alkaline phosphatase activity by glucose
Clinica Chimica Acta, 1983Non-enzymatic glycosylation (NEG) of alkaline phosphatase (AP) was studied after short- and long-term incubation with glucose and other carbohydrates. Glucose and amino sugars clearly inhibited the enzyme activity; this was in contrast to reducing and non-reducing disaccharides, which had an enhancing effect.

SERUM ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE ACTIVITY IN SHEEP
Australian Journal of Experimental Biology and Medical Science, 1974SummaryThe influence of age and the R‐r‐i blood group system upon serum alkaline phosphatase activity is described.Changes in isoenzyme patterns of alkaline phosphatase activity, as determined by use of amino acid inhibitors and heat, were seen from birth to day 1 of life, with increasing age and between animals of the R and r blood group.

Alkaline Phosphatase Activity in Immature Granulocytes
British Journal of Haematology, 1968A positive reaction for alkaline phosphatase activity in granulocyte precursors (myelocytes, promyelocytes and even some blast cells) has been observed in three patients. Two of them had a blastic crisis of subacute or chronic myeloid leukaemia. In the third patient with a blastic crisis of a myeloproliferative syndrome, AP activity was unusually high ...

Studies on Alkaline Phosphatase
European Journal of Biochemistry, 1972The three common homozygous variants of human placental alkaline phosphatase, types F1, S1 and I1 were partly purified and the concentration of active sites determined using a stopped‐flow procedure. A comparison of the variant steady‐state activities indicated that any differences in catalytic‐centre activity are marginal, both at alkaline pH (with 4 ...
