Rational defect engineering in Co‐doped NiO nanostructures, synthesized via a sustainable green route, enables precise bandgap modulation and defect‐state tailoring. Combined experimental–density functional theory analysis identifies 15% Co doping as the optimal threshold for maximizing photocatalytic degradation, photothermal response, and hydrogen ...

ABSTRACT Water pollution by oil and organic substances causes serious problems that threaten the ecosystem. Superhydrophobic materials represent an effective solution for removing oil from water. The present paper investigates the development of a low‐cost, superhydrophobic composite for oil–water separation.

BANALSITE–STRONALSITE FROM SANDYITES OF THE ILMENOGORSKY MIASKITE MASSIF (SOUTH URAL) [PDF]
The minerals of the banalsite BaNa2(Al2Si2O8 )2–SrNa2(Al2Si2O8) stronalsite series were found for the first time in alkaline rocks of the Ilmenogorsky miaskite massif. Banalsite contains 11.97– 12.86 wt. % ВаO and 5.44–5.56 wt. % SrO.

ABSTRACT Heavy metals in environmental waste can pollute the environment and disrupt human health if not managed properly. Heavy metal contamination from industrial waste, particularly cobalt (Co) and lead (Pb), poses serious environmental and health risks due to their toxicity, persistence, and bioaccumulative nature.

Potassium metasomatism of volcanic and sedimentary rocks in rift basins, calderas and detachment terranes [PDF]
The chemical, mineralogical, and oxygen-isotopic changes accompanying K-metasomatism are described. The similarities with diagenetic reactions in both deep marine and alkaline, saline-lake environments are noted.

Polyethylene–Cellulose Composites From Cellulose Xanthate Solutions
An approach for fabricating cellulose/LDPE composites through cellulose dissolution, LDPE dispersion, and subsequent hot‐pressing. ABSTRACT This study reports a processing route for fabricating cellulose/LDPE composites involving the dispersion of polyethylene powder in a cellulose solution, followed by regeneration to form a continuous cellulose ...

Abstract Intermittent hypobaric hypoxia (IHH) enhances oxygen transport, muscle metabolism, and cardiovascular health; however, the combined effects of hypobaria and cold are less well understood. Exposure to these stressful environmental factors, even intermittently, can affect skeletal muscle due to its plasticity, thereby altering its metabolic and ...

Objective Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is characterized by increased type I interferon (IFN‐I) and autoantibody production. This study aimed to identify drugs that can inhibit both IFN‐I and autoantibody production. Methods We identified an inhibitor of IFN‐I production from a chemical library.
