Quasi-white-light All-solid-state Laser

2005 Pacific Rim Conference on Lasers & Electro-Optics, 2006
A quasi-white laser, combined with three-primary-color, red, green and blue, was generated by frequency doubling and tripling a dual-wavelength of output of Nd:YVO 4 laser with an optical superlattice in a LiTaO 3 crystal as a frequency converter.

High power all solid state VUV lasers

Journal of Electron Spectroscopy and Related Phenomena, 2014
Abstract We report the investigation on the high power all solid state vacuum ultra-violet (VUV) lasers by means of nonlinear frequency conversion with KBe2BO3F2 (KBBF) nonlinear crystal. Several all solid state VUV lasers have developed in our group, including polarization and pulse repetition rate adjustable picosecond 177.3 nm VUV laser ...

Femtosecond all-solid-state laser for refractive surgery

SPIE Proceedings, 2003
Refractive surgery in the pursuit of perfect vision (e.g. 20/10) requires firstly an exact measurement of abberations induced by the eye and then a sophisticated surgical approach. A recent extension of wavefront measurement techniques and adaptive optics to ophthalmology has quantitatively characterized the quality of the human eye.

Advances in all-solid-state lasers for medicine

1999 IEEE LEOS Annual Meeting Conference Proceedings. LEOS'99. 12th Annual Meeting. IEEE Lasers and Electro-Optics Society 1999 Annual Meeting (Cat. No.99CH37009), 2003
In corneal sculpting, mid-infrared wavelengths provided by optical parametric oscillators (OPOs) access similar corneal absorption features to those exploited by excimer lasers. While creating high power UV solid-state lasers can be quite expensive, mid-IR outputs are relatively well developed using optical parametric oscillators (OPOs). The tunability

All Solid-State Mid Infrared Laser Source

Advanced Solid State Lasers, 1997
We demonstrated an all solid-state mid infrared laser source. The source is diode pumped, and employs multiple stage optical parametric oscillators to produce laser radiation in the mid infrared region between 2.5 and 4 μm. The laser source is compact, light weight and capable of being air-cooled. The electrical efficiency of the laser is near 1%.

Progress in all-solid-state deep-ultraviolet lasers

Conference Proceedings LEOS'96 9th Annual Meeting IEEE Lasers and Electro-Optics Society, 2002
High power deep ultraviolet (UV) radiation has attracted much attention in areas such as photo-lithography. We report progress in improving the quality of Czochralski-grown /spl beta/-BaB/sub 2/O/sub 4/ (BBO) which is essential for generating high average output power in the deep ultraviolet regime.

Tunable picosecond all solid-state Cr:LiSAF laser

Conference Proceedings. 10th Anniversary. IMTC/94. Advanced Technologies in I & M. 1994 IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Technolgy Conference (Cat. No.94CH3424-9), 2002
Many kinds of experiments about all solid-state Cr:LiSAF laser have been made for the purpose of generating tunable femtosecond pulses. For the first time, a tunable all solid-state cw laser having tunability over more than 100 nm was developed by using new spectrum selection self-injection locking (SSSIL) method in 1992.

An all-solid-state Argon ion laser replacement

CLEO: 2013, 2013
We present a solid-state laser system at 1028 nm. It is frequency doubled and quadrupled to 514 nm and 257 nm, respectively. The system is applicable as a tunable narrowband replacement for Argon ion lasers.
