Design of optically pumped cesium beam tube with hexapole magnetic system for longer lifetime and better SNR

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2022
In order to get a better tradeoff between the long lifetime and high performances of cesium beam atomic clocks, we proposed a design scheme of compact optically pumped cesium beam tube (OPCBT) based on hexapole magnetic focusing (HMF) system for the ...

Interaction of Intraprocedural Antiplatelets and Intravenous Thrombolysis in Acute Intracranial Stenting: RESISTANT Registry Subanalysis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction/Objective Acute intracranial stenting during endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) for ischemic stroke requires intraprocedural antiplatelet therapy (APT) to maintain patency. However, the hemorrhagic risk of combining APT with intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) remains uncertain.

Upper Cervical Cord Area as a Biomarker of Conversion to Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective This study assessed whether upper cervical cord area (UCCA) measured on routine brain MRI can serve as a biomarker of conversion to SPMS. Methods This is a single‐center retrospective cohort study of RRMS patients with cross‐sectional and longitudinal analyses of clinical and MRI data. Future SPMS converters were matched by age, sex,

Evaluating Optical Fiber Links with Data Filtering and Allan Deviation

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper we propose a simple method to reject the high-frequency noise in the evaluation of statistical uncertainty of coherent optical fiber links. Specifically, we propose a preliminary data filtering, separated from the frequency stability computation.

A Compact Spin‐Coated Graphene UWB Antenna for Breast Tumor Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A compact, spin‐coated graphene ultra‐wideband patch antenna designed for breast tumor detection, capable of distinguishing between malignant and benign tumors. This innovative antenna can serve as an effective initial screening tool, particularly in resource‐limited settings such as rural areas, where access to advanced medical equipment like MRI and ...

Extragalactic radio source stability and VLBI celestial reference frame: insights from the Allan standard deviation [PDF]

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics, 2018
Aims. We investigate the composition of the noise in coordinate time series of several hundreds of extragalactic radio sources monitored by the geodetic VLBI program since 1979. The noise type is identified at all available timescales longer than one year, following the observational history of the source. Methods.

Near‐Infrared Light‐Driven Zn/Au Janus Micromotors for Multiplex SERS Detection of Anticancer Drugs

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Zn/Au Janus micromotors, propelled by thermophoretic effects under NIR light, function as active SERS platforms for single and multiplex detection of anticancer drugs. Their dynamic motion enhances analyte exchange at the Au interface, reducing saturation and competitive adsorption, thereby improving sensitivity and extending the linear detection range.
