The El Muerto "NYF" Granitic Pegmatite, Oaxaca, Mexico, and Its Striking Enrichment In Allanite-(Ce) and Monazite-(Ce)

The Canadian Mineralogist, 2012
The El Muerto granitic pegmatite, of Grenville (Neoproterozoic) age, part of the Oaxacan Complex in southern Mexico, contains an exceptional development of HFSE-enriched accessory phases. We report here compositional data and textures involving the exotic minerals of this suite, in particular allanite-(Ce), perrierite-(Ce), monazite-(Ce), thorite ...

ALLANITE-(Ce) IN GRANITIC ROCKS FROM JAPAN: GENETIC IMPLICATIONS OF PATTERNS OF REE AND Mn ENRICHMENT

The Canadian Mineralogist, 2006

Significance of Allanite-(Ce) in Granitic Gneisses from the Ultrahigh-Pressure Metamorphic Terrane, Dabie Shan, Central China

Mineralogical Magazine, 1999
Abstract A recent study of granitic gneisses in the ultrahigh-pressure (UHP) metamorphic terrane from Dabie Shan, central China reveals that allanite-(Ce) is a widespread REE-bearing accessory phase.

IR spectroscopical characteristics of metamict allanite-(Ce)

Geologica Macedonica, 2012
Metamict samples of allanite-(Ce) were recrystallized in hydrothermal conditions at 150°C for 2, 5 and 24 h. The recrystallization of metamict samples was rapid and complete, without the appearance of additional phases when heated for 2 and 5 h, but when heated for 24 h, the structure is disturbed.

ALLANITE-(Ce) AS AN INDICATOR OF THE ORIGIN OF GRANITIC ROCKS IN JAPAN: IMPORTANCE OF Sr-Nd ISOTOPIC AND CHEMICAL COMPOSITION

The Canadian Mineralogist, 2007
The isotopic compositions of Sr and Nd were analyzed for sixteen samples of allanite-(Ce) from Mesozoic–Cenozoic granitic rocks in Japan (11 samples of an Mn-rich type, and five samples of an Mn-poor type). The Mn-rich allanite-(Ce) crystals have an initial 87Sr/86Sr value in the range 0.70811–0.71398 and an initial 143Nd/144Nd value in the range 0 ...

Rare-earth minerals yttrian zirconolite and allanite-(Ce) and associated minerals from Koberg mine, Bergslagen, Sweden

Mineralogical Magazine, 1992
AbstractA study of mine dump material from Koberg, Bergslagen, Sweden has revealed a varied mineral assemblage, including Zr-, REE-, Th- and U-bearing minerals associated with the sulphide ore deposit. Detailed descriptions and microprobe analyses are presented of the rare earth minerals yttrian zirconolite and allanite-(Ce), and the zirconium oxide ...

Preliminary 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy study of metamict allanite-(Ce) from granitic pegmatite, Fone, Aust-Agder, Norway

2013
Allanite-(Ce) is classified as a member of the epidote group, allanite subgroup, which is derived from clinozoisite by homovalent substitutions and one coupled heterovalent substitution: A2(REE)3+ + M3Fe2+  A2Ca2+ + M3Fe3+ (Armbruster et al., 2006). There are eight structurally different cation sites (A1-A2, M1-M3, T1-T3) along with 10 anion sites (O1-

MINOR-ELEMENT SYSTEMATICS OF FLUORAPATITE AND ZIRCON INCLUSIONS IN ALLANITE-(Ce) OF FELSIC VOLCANIC ROCKS FROM THREE OROGENIC BELTS: IMPLICATIONS FOR THE ORIGIN OF THEIR HOST MAGMAS

The Canadian Mineralogist, 2007
We have investigated allanite phenocrysts and the apatite and zircon inclusions they contain from three localities: (1) SK100 ash beds, Niigata, Japan, (2) the youngest Toba Tuff (YTT), Sumatra, Indonesia, and (3) the Bishop Tuff (BST) in eastern California, to gather geochemical inferences about the magmas from which these phases crystallized using an

Ti FERRIALLANITE-(Ce), Ti AND Ti-V ALLANITE-(Ce), ALLANITE-(Ce), ALLANITE-(Y), REE EPIDOTE IN BIOTITE-BEARING QUARTZ GABBROIDS AND PLAGIOGRANITOIDS OF THE ISLAND-ARC PERVOMAYSKO-AIUDAGSKY COMPLEX OF THE CRIMEAN MOUNTAINS

Геохимия / Geochemistry International
The unique association of rare-earth minerals of the epidote group, as well as the evolution of lantanides and actinides, titanium and vanadium in their composition are described. Allanite-(Ce), often with a ferriallanite-(Ce) core, an outer zone of allanite-(Y) and a rim of REE epidote, forms pseudomorphs after chevkinite-(Ce) and perrierite-(Ce), as ...

Post-magmatic solid solutions of CaCeAl2(Fe3+ 2/3□1/3)[Si2O7][SiO4]O(OH), allanite-(Ce) and REE-bearing epidote in miarolitic pegmatites of Permian Baveno granite (Verbania, central-southern alps, Italy)

Mineralogy and Petrology, 2016
CaCeAl2(Fe3+ 2/3□1/3)[Si2O7][SiO4]O(OH), allanite-(Ce) and rare earth element (REE)-bearing epidote occur as globular aggregates and platy prismatic crystals in miarolitic cavities in a niobium, yttrium, fluorine (NYF) granitic pegmatite at Baveno, Verbania, Southern Alps, Italy.
