Overview of the re‐evaluation of trace elements as nutritional feed additives in the European Union: characterization, safety, and efficacy

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, EarlyView.
Abstract The re‐evaluation of feed additives in the European Union was outlined in the Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003. The primary objectives were to ensure safety and verify efficacy, as well as to update authorizations and phase out unsafe additives or those in which the industry expressed no interest.

Regulatory B cells contribute to allergen-encapsulating nanoparticle immunotherapy efficacy for food allergy

open access: yesJCI Insight
B cells contribute to the pathogenesis of food allergies as they induce allergen-specific antibody production. Clinically used allergen-specific immunotherapies have been shown to induce regulatory B cell subsets as well as target and reduce allergy ...

Extraction‐dependent changes in immunoglobulin E binding profiles of processed lesser mealworm (Alphitobius diaperinus) proteins

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, EarlyView.
Abstract BACKGROUND Alphitobius diaperinus, the lesser mealworm, is an edible insect considered safe for human consumption; however, its proteins show documented cross‐reactivity with crustacean and house dust mite (HDM) allergens, raising potential concerns for allergic populations.

Component-Resolved and Multiplex-Specific IgE Diagnostics: Utility in Anaphylaxis and Beyond

open access: yesChildren
The diagnosis of allergic diseases and anaphylaxis is complex and encompasses a broad spectrum of in vitro and in vivo diagnostic tests. The choice of diagnostic tests is related to the presumed pathophysiological mechanism of the allergic reaction.

A Practical Guide for Incorporating Emollients in the Treatment of Mild‐to‐Moderate Atopic Dermatitis

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Emollients and cleansers are essential components in managing atopic dermatitis (AD). While international evidence‐based guidelines recommend using gentle cleansers and emollients daily as a foundational therapy for AD, implementation in practice remains suboptimal.

Mechanism of RNA‐Binding Protein ELAVL1 in Promoting Th2 Cell Differentiation Through Stabilizing CPA3 mRNA in Allergic Rhinitis

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study aimed to elucidate the role of the RNA‐binding protein embryonic lethality abnormal vision‐like protein 1 (ELAVL1) in the pathogenesis of allergic rhinitis (AR), specifically by investigating its potential to promote T helper 2 (Th2) cell differentiation by regulating the stability of carboxypeptidase A3 (CPA3) mRNA.
