Role for Complement C5 in Eosinophilic Inflammation of Severe Asthma

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
Complement activation module, particularly C5, is positively associated with eosinophilic inflammation in severe asthma cohorts. Elevated C5 expression correlates with poor lung function improvement and persistent eosinophilic inflammation. Mouse model studies confirm that C5 exacerbates eosinophilic inflammation, highlighting its potential as a ...

Understanding the Variability of Peanut‐Oral Immunotherapy Responses by Multi‐Omics Profiling of Immune Cells

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
This study analyzes molecular drivers of OIT responsiveness. Multi‐omics profiling of peanut‐stimulated PBMCs in a controlled peanut‐OIT trial identifies immune, transcriptomic, and epigenetic changes distinguishing complete responders from incomplete responders. Key findings highlight gastrointestinal immune mechanisms, including extracellular exosome

Modulation of Cellular, Molecular, and Humoral Responses by PQ Grass 27,600 SU for the Treatment of Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis: A Randomised Double Blind Placebo Control Exploratory Field Study

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
The aim of the study is to interrogate immunological mechanisms induced by PQ Grass conventional and extended regimens. A short‐course pre‐seasonal subcutaneous injection of PQ Grass is effective in inducing immune tolerance by generating functional blocking antibodies and modulating T cell compartments.

Transcriptomic Analysis of Allergic Patch Test Reactions in Non‐Atopic Patients: A Comparative Study Across Multiple Allergens

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
This study investigated the immune mechanisms underlying allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) in response to four distinct allergens by using RNA sequencing in a cohort of 40 non‐atopic patients and 19 controls. A shared ACD imprinting across allergens showed strong innate and adaptive responses, dominated by type 1 immunity but with mixed immune ...
