ABSTRACT Basophils, the least abundant leukocytes, are increasingly recognised as potent immunomodulators. Upon activation, they rapidly release preformed granule‐associated mediators including histamine and lipid mediators such as LTC4, while cytokine production occurs over a longer timescale, contributing to downstream immune responses.

Dietary Habits and Atopic Dermatitis Significantly Influence the Fecal Microbiome
Atopic dermatitis, dietary habits, sex, and BMI significantly influenced the fecal microbiome composition. On the species level, Faecalibacterium taiwanense was more abundant in atopic dermatitis, and Vescimonas sp000435555 was more abundant in the control population. On the genus level, CAG‐302 (NCBI: Clostridium) was more abundant in controls.

Serum‐Proteomic Profiling Reveals Distinct Atopic Dermatitis Severity‐Linked Signatures
This study aimed to identify a set of serum biomarkers that robustly distinguish prespecified severe from mild atopic dermatitis groups. Serum proteomic profiling distinguishes severe from mild atopic dermatitis, revealing an epithelial enriched severity footprint linked to LDH‐associated tissue injury and Th2/Th22 inflammation.
