Allocative Efficiency of Technically Inefficient Production Units [PDF]
We discuss how to measure allocative efficiency without presuming technical efficiency. This is relevant when it is easier to introduce reallocations than improvements of technical efficiency.

ABSTRACT Accumulating evidence suggests that the intestinal microbiota participates in the progression of metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) through microbiota‐host interaction. However, the beneficial role of commensal mycobiota in MASLD progression remains poorly understood.

Sources of Investment Inefficiency: The Case of Fixed-Asset Investment in China [PDF]
This study attempts to measure the inefficiency associated with aggregate investment in a transitional economy. The inefficiency is decomposed into allocative and production inefficiency based on standard production theory.

An Essay on the Concept of Dynamic Efficiency and its Implications for Assessments of the Benefits from Regulation and Price Control [PDF]
Allocative and productive efficiency are static concepts in the sense that they relate to welfare at a point in time. Allocative and productive efficiency reflect the outcome at a single point in time of resource allocation and production ...

Hepatocytes are subjected to increased membrane tension along with lipid accumulation. Loss of PIEZO1 exacerbates high‐fat diet‐induced MASLD in mice. Activation of PIEZO1 alleviates high‐fat diet‐induced MASLD in mice. PIEZO1 negatively regulates de novo lipogenesis through activation of CaMKK2‐AMPK pathway. ABSTRACT Liver is a central organ for lipid

A Tac1‐Expressing Brainstem Pathway Underlies the Pathogenesis of Trigeminal Neuralgia
A critical TG‐Sp5CTac1‐PBNTac1 pathway drives trigeminal neuropathic pain (TNP). Tac1‐expressing parabrachial nucleus (PBNTac1) neurons exhibit heightened responses to innocuous stimuli in TNP, and chemogenetic inhibition of these neurons effectively prevents TNP development.

Fibronectin 1 (FN1)‐expressing subicular subpopulations encode novel object preference and selectively govern retrieval of novel object recognition (NOR) via affecting excitability of entorhinal‐projecting circuit through large conductance Ca2+‐activated potassium (BK) channel. ABSTRACT Novel object recognition (NOR), referring to the cognitive ability
