Modelling forest dynamics using integral projection models and repeat lidar
Forests are facing increasing pressure from climate change and disturbance, yet linking individual tree trajectories to whole‐forest outcomes remains a major challenge. Our study integrates repeat airborne lidar with an Integral Projection Model to analyse demographic processes at the landscape scale.

ABSTRACT Mancozeb is one of the most widely used agricultural fungicides, exhibiting strong efficacy against a broad spectrum of phytopathogenic fungi. However, its widespread application comes at the cost of environmental contamination. Here, we show the effects of Inga vera leaf litter contamination with Mancozeb on life‐history traits of Aedes ...

To cope with highly stochastic and/or heterogeneous environmental conditions, animals must balance energy resource allocation across physiological processes. The digestive tract and brain exhibit structural variations under strong developmental and selective pressures that vary across environmental gradients both between and within species.

Using radiotelemetry, we found that the movement and home range of the endangered Sacalia bealei varied significantly across reproductive classes and seasons, with males exhibiting greater movement than females during wet and mating seasons. The species exhibits strong aquatic dependence, favoring deep pools interspaced among riffle‐pool sequences ...

Pressure Pulses Generated by Wire‐Guided Discharges in Water
ABSTRACT The hydrodynamic characteristics of underwater wire‐guided discharges and their relationships with the wire length and pulsed circuit parameters are not fully understood. In this paper wire‐guided discharges using wires of length 3, 5 and 7 cm and diameter of 0.05 mm have been investigated. The energy available to the discharges was 162.3 J at
