Perspectives of Alloying Titanium Alloys with Rare Earth Elements
Metal Science and Heat Treatment, 2013The effect of microadditives of rare earth elements on mechanical properties and refractoriness of titanium alloys is studied. The properties of a novel titanium alloy VT38 with an additive of gadolinium are compared to the properties of the most widely used refractory titanium alloys.

Method of Mixed Element Alloyed in Ti Based Alloy and the Diffusion of Alloyed Element in Ti Alloy
The mixed element method P/M Ti alloy has advantages in production cost, freedom of composition selection and microstructure design than Ti alloys prepared by casting deformation and other powder metallurgy methods, and is the most promising method for preparing low-cost Ti alloys. a craft.Ren Xu, Xubiao, Xiang Yun

Criticality of Iron and Its Principal Alloying Elements
Environmental Science & Technology, 2014Because modern technology depends on reliable supplies of a wide variety of materials and because of increasing concern about those supplies, a comprehensive methodology was created to quantify the degree of criticality of the metals of the periodic table. In this paper, we apply this methodology to iron and several of its main alloying elements (i.e.,

Abstract A near-β Ti–5Al–5Mo–5V–2Cr–1Fe alloy was produced using the blended elemental powder metallurgy approach. The microstructural development and distributions of the alloying elements were investigated during transformation of the heterogeneous powder compacts into the final homogenous alloy product. The influence of different alloying elements

Hydrogen as a Useful Alloying Element in Titanium Alloys
1997For many years hydrogen was considered as a deleterious impurity which deteriorates mechanical properties of materials. This is clearly illustrated by hydrogen embrittlement of ferrous metals and alloys. The main effort of the research was aimed therefore at the study of hydrogen embrittlement and at the ways to avoid it1.
