Asymmetric azidohydroxylation of styrene derivatives mediated by a biomimetic styrene monooxygenase enzymatic cascade [PDF]
Enantioenriched azido alcohols are precursors for valuable chiral aziridines and 1,2-amino alcohols, however their chiral substituted analogues are difficult to access. We established a cascade for the asymmetric azidohydroxylation of styrene derivatives

This article reports an electrosynthetic method for vicinal trifluoromethylchlorosulfonylation of alkenes using [Cu(MeCN)4]PF6 and triethylamine, without elaborate ligands. The reaction efficiently adds CF3 and SO2Cl across diverse unactivated alkenes with broad functional group tolerance.

Use of Physiologically Based Biokinetic (PBBK) Modeling to Study Estragole Bioactivation and Detoxification in Humans as Compared with Male Rats [PDF]
The extent of bioactivation of the herbal constituent estragole to its ultimate carcinogenic metabolite 1′-sulfooxyestragole depends on the relative levels of bioactivation and detoxification pathways.

The integration between visible‐light photocatalysis and biocatalysis has the potential to greatly improve modern organic synthesis by combining the production of valuable synthetic intermediates under mild photochemical conditions with the high degree of stereoselectivity reached by enzymes. The review collects the recent efforts in the photoenzymatic

Chemo-, Diastero-, and Regioselective C−c and C−o Bond formation via Transition Metal Catalysis [PDF]
The efficient stereoselective formation of C−C and C−O bonds remains a critical challenge in organic chemistry. The level difficulty of these bond formations increases dramatically when regio-, diastereo-, and chemoselectivity issues are present.

Stereoselective Olefin Metathesis Processes Using Cyclometalated Ruthenium Alkylidene Complexes [PDF]
The recent development of a class of Z-selective ruthenium metathesis catalysts containing a crucial cyclometalated N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligand has extended the applicability of ruthenium-mediated olefin metathesis to the production of a variety ...
