Homogeneous Catalysis VI. Hydrosilylation Using Tri(Pentanedionato)Rhodium(III) or Tetrakis(µ-Acetato)Dirhodium(II) as Catalysts [PDF]

open access: yes, 1979
The catalytic activity of tris(pentanedionato)rhodium(III), (or rhodium(III) acetylacetonate) (I) has been investigated for the hydrosilylation of a variety of organic substrates: alkenes, terminal or internal acetylenes, conjugated dienes, or a,ß ...

Evaluation of platinum group metal Lewis acid complexes of the novel biaryl-like R2-CATPHOS diphosphines in catalysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
PhD ThesisRecently, cationic ‘coordinately unsaturated’ square planar transition metal group Lewis acid complexes of the type [M(Ligand)]2+ (M = Pt, Pd,) have been shown to exhibit a number of advantageous features, which include well defined ...

A Study of the Nickel Catalyzed Rearrangement of 1,4-Dienes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1973
Two types of rearrangement are afforded by the reaction of 1,4-dienes with a catalyst formed from tra ns-d i chIoro- bis(tri-n-butyIphosphine)Ni( I I ) and di isobutyI a I urninum chloride.

Determination of the electronic state of aryl nitrenes in an intramolecular C-H insertion reaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 1970
β,γ-Dideuteriopropylbenzene was obtained in 84% yield from deuteration of allylbenzene. Nitration of this compound resulted in o-nitro (β,γ-dideuteriopropyl)-benzene. Reduction of this compound gave o-(β,γ-aideuterio-propyl)aniline.

Synthesis of a Bifunctional Heterogeneous Catalyst for the Conversion of Lignocellulosic Biomass into Precursors for Alternative Fuels and Fine Chemicals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The overall goal of the research described here is to develop synthetic routes to bifunctional reagents that can be tethered into silicate matrices derived from the tin functionalized cube, Si8O20(SnMe3)8.
