Totally Contact Umbilical Radical Transversal Lightlike Submanifolds Of An Almost Contact Manifold With B-Metric

open access: yesJOURNAL OF ADVANCES IN MATHEMATICS, 2017
In the present paper, we study the geometry of totally contact umbilical radical transversal lightlike submanifolds and totally contact umbilical CR- submanifold of an indenite Sasaki-like almost contact manifold with B-metric. We nd the necessary and sucient condition for the characterization of the induced connection to be a metric connection ...

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

A quarter-symmetric metric connection on almost contact B-metric manifolds

open access: yesFilomat, 2019
The aim of this paper is to study the notion of a quarter-symmetric metric connection on an almost contact B-metric manifold (M,?,?,?,g). We obtain the relation between the Levi-Civita connection and the quarter-symmetric metric connection on (M,?,?,?,g).We investigate the curvature tensor, Ricci tensor and scalar curvature tensor with ...

High‐Temperature Nanoindentation of Metals: Assessing Thermal Drift, Frame Compliance, and Chemical Composition Effects on the Reported Mechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Do not let thermal drift and instrument artifacts deceive high‐temperature nanoindentation results. We compare classical Oliver–Pharr and automatic image recognition analyses across steels and a Ni alloy to quantify these effects. Accounting for artifacts reveals systematic softening with temperature, while Cr and Ni additions boost resistance ...

Curvature Properties of Some Three-Dimentional Almost Contact Manifolds with B-Metric II

open access: yes, 2012
The curvature tensor on a 3-dimensional almost contact manifold with B-metric belonging to two main classes is studied. These classes are the rest of the main classes which were not considered in the first part of this work. The dimension 3 is the lowest possible dimension for the almost contact manifolds with B-metric. The corresponding curvatures are

Composites of Shellac and Silver Nanowires as Flexible, Biobased, and Corrosion‐Resistant Transparent Conductive Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

VIVID: A qPCR‐Based Platform for Sensitive and Quantitative In Vivo Tracking of Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces VIVID (Vesicle In Vivo Identification using DNA), a qPCR‐based platform that tracks PCR‐amplifiable DNA tags loaded in the EVs for accurate and quantifiable EV biodistribution in vivo. ABSTRACT Extracellular vesicles (EVs) represent promising carriers for nucleic acid therapeutics, offering advantages over synthetic nanoparticles ...

Nanothermometry in Living Cells: Physical Limits, Conceptual and Material Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Heat and temperature are fundamental to life. When nanothermometers began probing regions as small as a living cell, they triggered controversial claims of large intracellular temperature gradients. We review physical constraints energy‐conservation, entropy production, thermodynamic fluctuations, and molecular dynamics.

Linear Connections on Normal Almost Contact Manifolds with Norden Metric [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Families of linear connections are constructed on almost contact manifolds with Norden metric. An analogous connection to the symmetric Yano connection is obtained on a normal almost contact manifold with Norden metric and closed structural 1-form.

Adapted connections on metric contact manifolds

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper, we describe the space of adapted connections on a metric contact manifold through the space of their torsion tensors. The torsion tensor is an element of the space of TM-valued two-forms, which splits into various subspaces.
