On Hartman almost periodic functions [PDF]

open access: yesStudia Mathematica, 2006
We consider multi-dimensional Hartman almost periodic functions and sequences, defined with respect to different averaging sequences of subsets in Rd or Zd. We consider the behavior of their Fourier-Bohr coefficients and their spectrum, depending on the particular averaging sequence, and we demonstrate this dependence by several examples. Extensions to

Computing with almost periodic functions [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section A Foundations of Crystallography, 2008
The paper develops a method for discrete computational Fourier analysis of functions defined on quasicrystals and other almost periodic sets. A key point is to build the analysis around the emerging theory of quasicrystals and diffraction in the setting on local hulls and dynamical systems.

c-Almost periodic type functions and applications

open access: yesNonautonomous Dynamical Systems, 2020
In this paper, we introduce several various classes of c-almost periodic type functions and their Stepanov generalizations, where c ∈ ℂ and |c| = 1. We also consider the corresponding classes of c-almost periodic type functions depending on two variables

Bohr's equivalence relation in the space of Besicovitch almost periodic functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Based on Bohr's equivalence relation which was established for general Dirichlet series, in this paper we introduce a new equivalence relation on the space of almost periodic functions in the sense of Besicovitch, $B(\mathbb{R},\mathbb{C})$, defined in ...

Linear Functionals on Almost Periodic Functions [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1953
Our aim is, first, to present two realizations of the space 1* of all bounded complex linear functionals on 21, and, second, to use these realizations for the study of positive definite functions which are not necessarily continuous. In this fashion, we obtain a generalization of Bochner's representation theorem for continuous positive definite ...

Diophantine approximations and almost periodic functions

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2017
In this paper we investigate the asymptotic behaviour of the classical continuous and unbounded almost periodic function in the Lebesgue measure.Using diophantine approximations we show that this function can be estimated by functions of polynomial type ...

Weakly almost periodic functions, model-theoretic stability, and minimality of topological groups [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We investigate the automorphism groups of $\aleph\_0$-categorical structures and prove that they are exactly the Roelcke precompact Polish groups. We show that the theory of a structure is stable if and only if every Roelcke uniformly continuous function

Subharmonic Almost Periodic Functions

open access: yes, 2007
We prove that almost periodicity in the sense of distributions coincides with almost periodicity with respect to Stepanov's metric for the class of subharmonic functions in a horizontal strip. We also prove that Fourier coefficients of these functions are continuous functions in Im z.
