On almost sure asymptotic periodicity for scalar stochastic difference equations

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2017
We consider a perturbed linear stochastic difference equation 1 X ( n + 1 ) = a ( n ) X ( n ) + g ( n ) + σ ( n ) ξ ( n + 1 ) , n = 0 , 1 , … , X 0 ∈ R , $$ X(n+1)=a(n)X(n)+g(n)+\sigma(n)\xi(n+1), \quad n=0, 1, \dots, \qquad X_{0}\in\mathbb{R}, $$ with ...

A new composition theorem for S^{p}-weighted pseudo almost periodic functions and applications to semilinear differential equations [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Mathematica, 2011
In this paper, we establish a new composition theorem for \(S^p\)-weighted pseudo almost periodic functions under weaker conditions than the Lipschitz ones currently encountered in the literatures.

Impulsive Fractional Differential Inclusions and Almost Periodic Waves

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
In the present paper, the concept of almost periodic waves is introduced to discontinuous impulsive fractional inclusions involving Caputo fractional derivative.

Almost Periodic Variances

open access: yesThe Annals of Mathematical Statistics, 1963
0. Summary. Second-order stationary random sequences, especially if Gaussian, may be of statistical interest because their covariances may, under certain conditions, be consistently estimated with finite realizations of the sequences. It is shown that there is a class of non-stationary random sequences, namely sequences of orthogonal random variables ...

Quasicrystals and Almost Periodicity [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics, 2005
We introduce a topology ${\cal T}$ on the space $U$ of uniformly discrete subsets of the Euclidean space. Assume that $S$ in $U$ admits a unique autocorrelation measure. The diffraction measure of $S$ is purely atomic if and only if $S$ is almost periodic in $(U,{\cal T})$. This result relates idealized quasicrystals to almost periodicity.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Asymptotic Almost Periodic Functions with Range in a Topological Vector Space

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces and Applications, 2013
The notion of asymptotic almost periodicity was …first introduced by Fréchet in 1941 in the case of …finite dimensional range spaces. Later, its extension to the case of Banach range spaces and locally convex range spaces has been considered by several ...

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Fractional-Order Impulsive Delayed Reaction-Diffusion Gene Regulatory Networks: Almost Periodic Solutions

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2023
The paper is oriented on the existence of almost periodic solutions of factional-order impulsive delayed reaction-diffusion gene regulatory networks. Caputo type fractional-order derivatives and impulsive disturbances at not fixed instants of time are ...

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...
