Myasthenia gravis with alopecia totalis
Pediatrics International, 2007Myasthenia gravis was diagnosed on the basis of a positive Tensilon test in a 4-year-old male child with alopecia totalis. His scalp hair and eyebrows had began to disappear at the age of 10 months. No other physical abnormalities such as motor paralysis, were seen except for left ptosis and alopecia totalis.

Alopecia Totalis in a Chimpanzee
Journal of Medical Primatology, 1984A case of alopecia totalis in a chimpanzee is reported. The disease was probably due to an autoimmune phenomenon and was successfully treated with immunosuppressive therapy. However, possible side‐effects outweighed benefits.
