Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Some biological properties of the human amniotic membrane interferon
Human amniotic interferon was investigated to define the species specificity of its antiviral action and compare its anti-cellular and NK cell stimulating activities with those of other human interferons.

Chronic bacterial prostatitis reduces the reproductive function of men and worsens the quality of life. Impairment of the immune system in chronic bacterial prostatitis requires immunocorrection and use of additional immunomodulatory therapy.

Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.

Interferon Side Effects: When Somatization Betrays You - A Case Report [PDF]
Neuropsychiatric symptoms are widely reported in association with both hepatitis C and IFNα treatment [1]its sequelae, and its treatment. In particular, interferon, a primary component of treatment for chronic hepatitis C, has been strongly associated ...

Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Cystic craniopharyngioma: intratumoral chemotherapy with alpha interferon
OBJECTIVE: To assess whether the cystic craniopharyngiomas can be controlled with the use of intratumoral applications of interferon alpha. METHOD: Nineteen patients with the diagnosis of cystic craniopharyngioma were treated with intratumoral ...

Long-term complete response of multiple lung metastases from renal cell carcinoma induced by combination therapy with interferon alpha and UFT: a case report [PDF]
We report a case of long-term complete response of multiple lung metastases of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) by the combination therapy with interferon alpha (IFN alpha) and UFT.

Enhancement of vaccinia virus based oncolysis with histone deacetylase inhibitors [PDF]
Histone deacetylase inhibitors (HDI) dampen cellular innate immune response by decreasing interferon production and have been shown to increase the growth of vesicular stomatitis virus and HSV.
