Modulating Two‐Photon Absorption in a Pyrene‐Based MOF Series: An In‐Depth Investigation of Structure–Property Relationships

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates H4TBAPy‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) ‐ NU‐1000, NU‐901, SrTBAPy, and BaTBAPy ‐ for multiphoton absorption (MPA) performance. It observes topology‐dependent variations in the 2PA cross‐section, with BaTBAPy exhibiting the highest activity.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Alternative method for direct measurement of tibial slope

open access: yesVojnosanitetski pregled, 2014
Background/Aim. The tibial slope is one of the most frequently cited anatomical causes of anterior cruciate ligament trauma. The aim of this study was to determine the possibility of direct measuring of the tibial slope of the knee without prior soft tissue dissection in cadavers. Methods.

Tuning the Dielectric Properties of Individual Clay Nanosheets by Interlayer Composition: Toward Nano‐Electret Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The dielectric properties of clays are studied on the level of individual monolayers and functional double stacks. The material breakdown characteristics and charge storage performance are analyzed. For illustration, a defined charge pattern representing a cuneiform character is produced, written into a microscopic clay tile, referencing the origins of

Band Alignment in In‐Oxo Metal Porphyrin SURMOF Heterojunctions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Porphyrin core metalation in indium‑oxo SURMOFs enables systematic tuning of band edge positions without altering the crystal structure. First‑principles calculations reveal type‑I and type‑II heterostructures as well as multi‑junction energy cascades, establishing a modular strategy for exciton funneling and charge separation in optoelectronic ...

Phase‐only transmit beampattern synthesis with sparse arrays via alternating optimisation‐alternating direction of the multipliers method

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation
To get simultaneously sparse and constant modulus excitation to reduce the complexity of the array and the mutual effect of neighbouring elements, a novel algorithm via alternating optimisation‐alternating direction of the multipliers method is developed.

Photoswitching Conduction in Framework Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This mini‐review summarizes recent advances in state‐of‐the‐art proton and electron conduction in framework materials that can be remotely and reversibly switched on and off by light. It discusses the various photoswitching conduction mechanisms and the strategies employed to enhance photoswitched conductivity.

Fast Mixed Integer Quadratic Programming for Sparse Signal Estimation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
It has been recently shown that the $l_{0}$ -norm problem can be reformulated into a mixed integer quadratic programming (MIQP) problem. CPLEX, a commercial optimization software package that can solve integer programming problems, is used to find the ...

Gradient alternating-direction methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 1979
The gradient methods considered are not better than the algorithms based on the minimization of the spectral radius of the transition operator as far as the asymptotic rate of convergence is concerned. At the same time they are somewhat worse as concerns the economy of computation.
