Alternative Energy for Energy Sustainability

open access: yesAnnals of Arid Zone, 2016
Energy has become a part and parcel of human survival and societal progress. In fact, per capita energy consumption has become a measure of a nation's progress. Just as air, water and food are the most important materials required for the survival of human life on earth, energy is essential for sustenance of the human race.

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

First-principles computation of dislocation structures and stress-driven phase transformations in layered oxides for Na-ion batteries

open access: yesnpj Computational Materials
Dislocation dynamics at the atomic scale play a significant role in phase transformations and mechanical degradation of layered cathode materials in Na-ion batteries (NIBs), yet their fundamental behavior remains poorly understood.
